Jo Payne joins PIB Group as Chief People Officer

PIB Group Ltd (‘PIB’) has welcomed Jo Payne as the new Chief People Officer and member of the PIB Group Executive team. Her arrival is one of a recent series of exceptional hires and movements in preparation for further international expansion and to build a leading specialist and diversified pan-European insurance distribution business.
Jo joins from Clear Channel International to assume the position following a detailed handover period with Fiona Andrews who retires at the end of 2022.

Jo will take over the reins of our People function, which Fiona Andrews has developed from the ground-up since our inception in 2015. I’d like to thank Fiona for her dedication, contribution and counsel, which will continue in her capacity as a Trustee of our charitable initiative. Jo’s arrival completes our plans for the Executive Team, so that we’re all set for delivering on our commitments in 2023 and beyond.”

Jo’s career spans over two decades, having discovered a passion for working in the People function at Standard Chartered Bank, then fully immersing herself in the profession at T-Mobile for several years.
PIB Group now adds to her extensive experience following a nine-year tenure at the media company, Clear Channel International. For almost six years as Chief People Officer, Jo led all aspects of people and culture across the Group’s international portfolio. This included galvanizing the organisation in preparation for its listing and subsequent transformation programme. Other senior positions held included Global HR and Talent Director, as well as International Talent Director.
Alongside this, Jo is a Non-Executive Director for Famn UK, a coaching consultancy that is home to an experienced collection of coaches, psychologists and facilitators who thrive on working with individuals to provoke change.

Fiona Andrews has enjoyed a successful career for more than forty years as a business leader with a proven track record in the insurance industry. She will remain an investor in PIB Group, as well as a valued member of the Board of Trustees for PIB Community Trust which donates grants to local charities and community initiatives spanning the UK and Europe.

Recent moves have included Ryan Brown promoted into the role of Deputy Group CEO, which paved the way for the arrival of David Winkett as Chief Financial Officer.
