PIB Group Ltd (‘PIB’ or ‘the Group’), the specialist insurance intermediary group, has announced that its Community Trust has donated a milestone £1 million to a variety of corporate and employee-nominated charities.
PIB Community Trust is an initiative launched in 2021, which aims to support the local communities PIB Group operates in and worthy causes around the world, by donating a proportion of the Group’s revenue to charity.
In addition to the £1 million, the Trust has facilitated more than £600k in fundraising efforts. This includes its Project Hope initiative and donations to the Insurance United Against Dementia campaign, both created in partnership with the Alzheimer's Society to support dementia research. The Trust has also supported refugees through its Ukraine appeal and victims of the European floods in 2024.
The Trust is led by a number of PIB Group representatives who have volunteered to support the initiative. PIB Group has committed to donating £1.5 million by the end of 2025 and £2 million by the end of 2026.
Ryan Brown, Deputy CEO at PIB Group: “At its core, the Trust represents what PIB Group stands for: a business deeply rooted in community. Our business is dedicated to making a significant difference and we aim to do that through our ongoing commitment to helping causes that our people are passionate about.
“The PIB Community Trust also recognises that its impact is more than the amount of money donated; we’ve supported more than 400 charities globally so far and will continue to use the Trust to make a difference in the communities we operate in, and around the globe.”
Nigel Salisbury, Chair of the PIB Community Trust: “The PIB Community Trust was set up to encourage and support the causes our colleagues are passionate about. We are delighted to have been able to help a wide variety of charities and causes over the last few years. Our goal is to support the charitable endeavours of our colleagues, teams and businesses by enabling contributions to be made to their chosen charities in support of local communities.
“We are also pleased to have been able to make a real difference through initiatives such as Project Hope, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society. A combination of grants and fundraising has raised £450k over the last 12 months for a groundbreaking research project into the causes of dementia.”
