June 5, 2022

Meet Rebecca Atkins, Account Handler PIB Insurance Brokers. Having joined us not too long ago, Rebecca is enjoying settling into her role and juggling life outside of work with her two daughters, her bulldog Buster and finding time to relax. Over to you Rebecca…

Tell us about yourself…

I’m 36, a mummy to two girls aged 10 and 4. I started out in insurance when I was 16 when a friend of a friend needed a junior and here I still am. I live in Chesham, other than a brief move to Bedford for a few years to further my career, I’ve been in Chesham my whole life. In my career so far, I have covered personal lines, commercial claims and commercial account handling.

What do you do in your current role?

I assist the Account Executives with renewal terms, midterm adjustment and make sure they have everything needed.

What attracted to you to PIB as a career destination?

It seemed like a varying and caring company with excellent benefits and opportunity to progress.

What does collaboration mean to you?

Working together as a team to achieve what is needed!

Best careers advice you’ve been given or would give?

Step out of your comfort zone, if it’s easy and ‘ploddy’, get out.

Biggest achievement (professionally or personally)

Continuing to work and juggle children.

How do you relax outside of work?

Zumba, walking our bulldog buster, being with my girls and I love a spa day and afternoon tea.

One thing most people won’t know about you?

I’m a twin, obviously people that know us will know that but some of my colleagues won’t!
