ESG

Environmental, Social and Governance

PIB are committed to making a positive difference for our people, the communities we serve, and the world. “Doing the Right Thing” is a core value of our business and we have set out how we integrate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations into the broader business in our Code of Conduct and ESG Policy.

Environment

PIB recognises the critical importance of environmental sustainability and the part companies have to play in creating a more sustainable future. We have set an ambitious target of reaching net zero group wide by 2040 ensuring that we do our part in driving the transition to a low carbon economy.

We are committed to continually identifying new ways to manage the impact of our business on the environment in a responsible way.
We are proud of the progress we have already made but recognise that there is more to do. Some examples of the work we have already done to minimise our environmental impact:

Reducing natural resource consumption and emissions

Waste management and reduction

Encouraging minimal business travel and commuting

Using vehicles that have minimal impact on the environment

Reducing all paper consumption

Recycling and responsible disposal of office products

Cycle racks and Vehicle Electrical Charging points (where the landlord has allowed)

Social Responsibility

Our Code of Conduct and ‘Doing the Right Thing’ is a short but important guide issued to everyone across PIB. It explains in simple terms the behaviours expected of everyone as part of our culture, describing how we expect people to treat our clients as well as the way we interact with our colleagues and communities.

Highlights and actions underway within our social responsibility framework:

PIB Community Trust

Our PIB Community Trust is an initiative launched in 2021 and a key pillar of the Group’s broader ESG programme and business priorities. Backed by PIB Group which provides a proportion of its revenues to give to charity, the Trust provides funding directed at your community engagement.

Volunteering

At PIB, we are passionate about making a positive impact on the communities that we operate within. PIB offers volunteering days as a way of supporting our communities as well as fostering teamwork and wellbeing, while also engaging colleagues in our wider corporate culture.

PIB Belonging

PIB Belonging means that everyone at PIB Group feels included,  comfortable to be themselves and safe to share their different points of view. It’s where everyone believes their contributions matter and they have the support they need to thrive.

We all have a part to play in making sure everyone feels included. By listening, learning and understanding our diverse perspectives, needs and beliefs and feeling safe to share more about ourselves we can bring the very best in each other.

Governance

Governance at PIB is defined as the structure, processes, and ‘tone’ for the way our organisation is led, directed and overseen. It encompasses who is accountable for what when it comes to decision making across the business and addresses risk management, engagement with regulators and investors, as well as governance around our Code of Conduct and ESG.
The Group is governed through the PIB Group Board, made up of senior group executives, plus representation from PIB’s key investors who provide an external perspective to give an impartial and robust level of review and challenge.

PIB aligns to all local laws and regulations in all areas where we operate including ESG requirements. We additionally aspire to ensure our ESG program is aligned to international best in class standards.

Growth

ESG is a part of our drive towards sustainable growth. As we quickly expand into Europe we are taking the new businesses joining the PIB family with us on our journey.

Suppliers

PIB Group prefer to work with suppliers who share our values and who are also committed to Doing the Right Thing.

We expect suppliers to adhere to all applicable laws, regulations and standards. We expect them to treat all people fairly including their own employees, suppliers, communities and customers and consider the environmental sustainability of their businesses and the products and services they deliver. Our requirements are fully detailed in our Supplier Code of Conduct which we expect all our key suppliers to adhere to.

Customers

We understand that our customers, much as we do, choose to work with those who share their values. It’s important to us to ensure that we work collaboratively with our customers in meeting their own ESG requirements.
